Marilla’s 8th Annual Civil War Encampment at Marilla Town Park on Three Rod Road. Bonfire Friday Night, Battle Re-enactment's and living history Saturday and Sunday. Open to the public 9am to 10pm on Saturday, 9am to 3pm on Sunday. 3rd annual Lehigh Valley Civil War Days will be held at Whitehall Parkway (also known as Camp Geiger) Whitehall, PA. The weekend will include a battle reenactment each day and a Sunday morning tactical. Living History Street with medical demonstration, Lady’s Aid and fashion displays, children’s games and much more. Artillery and cavalry demonstrations. Period music and speakers throughout each day. Free Saturday evening meal for registered reenactors in period dress. Saturday evening candlelight tour of the camps followed by a live night firing. Sutlers and food vendors will be on site to serve reenactors and spectators. Water and wood will be provided. Ice and straw available for small fee. Cavalry, artillery and sutlers by invitation only. Registration fee-$7.00 until April 1st, $10.00 April 2 to May 14th, $15.00 after May 14th. Sutlers fees - $25.00 until May 14th. $50.00 May 15- 30th. No sutler registration after June 1st. The Gathering of Civil War Eagles is a one-of-a-kind journey back to one of the watershed events in American history – The War Between the States. Gathering of Civil War Eagles is not an academic seminar or a battlefield reenactment. Guests of Gathering of Civil War Eagles will be able to meet and talk with the very personas that made the critical decisions and led the opposing armies. You will hear the Generals discuss and debate battles and tactics, and politicians such as Lincoln and Davis debate secession and the sectional differences that led to War. There will also be award-winning authors to discuss and sign their books, period musical performances throughout the weekend, and chances to sip tea and see ladies’ fashions from the Civil War era. |

Historic Pennypacker Mills, home of Pennsylvania’s twenty-fifth Governor and Civil War soldier, proudly presents this enactment and living history weekend. Over 140 members of this prestigious Pennsylvania family served in the Civil War as well as the Governor’s cousin, Galusha Pennypacker, known as the Boy General. See daily battles, fascinating speakers, and musical performances, visit the Civilian Street where demonstrations of everyday life are offered, walk through military encampments, meet the Chaplain, witness artillery demonstrations and unit inspections and enjoy Lantern Tours in the evening on Saturday. On Sunday morning, the public is invited to attend church services. This is a FREE event for the general public. Firewood, drinking water, and plenty of ice are offered to reenactors throughout the weekend. Sutler row is offered to both reenactors and the public. |

Site of a modern health spa, located in Hot Springs, NC, the surrounding grounds of the mineral springs was used as a recruitment camp. Located at one of the mountain passes between Tennessee and North Carolina, it was a strategic crossroads and changed hands many times. |

The woods and meadows of the Blacklick Creek valley in Civic Park are the site of the encampment and reenactment sponsored by The Society of Civil War Surgeons, U.S. Corps of Topographical Engineers, 5th Kentucky Infantry, Co. B, Livingston House Society, Byrnes Battery B, and the City of Reynoldsburg Parks and Recreation Department.
2 battles, living history, rifleman's competition, ladies tea and military ball on Saturday. Period church service, living history, morning tactical, afternoon battle and surrender at Appomattox on Sunday. Other activities as well.
Open to the public 9 am to 9 pm on Saturday and 9 am to 3 pm on Sunday.
Registration $7 prior to June 18, 2010 and $10 after. Saturday lunch and dinner and Sunday morning bagels, donuts, coffee and juice provided to registered reenactors.
